In recent years, a number of churches have closed due to the migration of parish communities moving to the suburbs. To assist the dioceses with their closings, SACRED SPACES developed a team of experts specializing in documenting, appraising, dismantling, packing, crating, and transporting the liturgical furnishings and sacred works of art.
Our appraisal team provides research data and detailed appraisal information of the various liturgical furnishings and sacred art. Included in the appraisal report is an inventory listing of all specified items, comprehensive photo documentation, item descriptions, quantities, measurements, appraisal (replacement) values, as well as suggested donation values (based on Canon Law).
Our removal teams are highly skilled in removing all forms of architectural stone/wood, liturgical furniture, statuary, artwork, appointments, seating, stained glass, lighting fixtures, bells, and organs. We’ve recently completed appraisal / removal work in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland.
