Stenciling

Stenciling is ideally suited to enhancing architectural elements that require repeating, uniformly rendered motifs.  Trusses, columns and galleries can gain visual appeal through the application of stenciling derived from decorative motifs in the Celtic or Germanic style, or of the Medieval, Baroque or Renaissance periods.  Our artists cut stencils to design specifications and apply them using the media – oil, acrylic, or even gold leaf – that best accomplishes the visual effect you wish to achieve.

Trompe l’oeil painting (from the French “to trick the eye”) can create the perception of depth, suggesting that the object or scene depicted in the mural actually exists in the space.
